The APF Psychology of Anti-Semitism Fund will be awarding its first grant in September. We are very excited to see the proposals that will be submitted. You can see the call for proposals at apf.apa.org. Click on Grants and scroll down to Psychology of Anti-Semitism Fund. Perhaps you will be one of those applying for the grant.
The Fund now stands at about $165,000. Lenore Walker hosted a fundraising event in Ft. Lauderdale, Beth Rom-Rymer is hosting one in Chicago in May 8 and Tara Lieberman is hosting a second New York event in June 18. Our goal is to raise $250,000 so that we can give multiple grants annually. To that end, we need all AJP members to dig deep in their pockets and make as large a contribution as they possibly can. Anti-Semitism is unfortunately on the rise and anything that psychology can do to combat it is vital.
You can donate at the same website, apf.apa.org. Click on Donate , then on Support Another Designation, and then scroll down to the Psychology of Anti-Semitism Fund, to be sure your donation goes to the right place. You can play an important part in seeing that we give more than one grant this year and for many years into the future.
